The Argonaut, published in Southern California since 1971, is the best source of local information for Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, Mar Vista, Del Rey, Westchester, Venice and Santa Monica. Our newspaper serves the community with a circulation of 30,000, published every Thursday. The Argonaut is a member of the California Newspaper Publishers Association, The National Newspaper Association, and The Inland Press Association. Circulation is audited by the Circulation Verification Council (CVC).

Because of the large volume of submissions, The Argonaut is unable to publish all of the calendar items we receive. Priority is given free events and events with admissions to the public of $20 or less. Exceptions are made for lunches, dinner and entertainment events we believe will be of interest to our readers.
If you wish to have an item listed in The Argonaut Calendar of Events, your submissions must be received no later than noon on Wednesdays eight days before the publication date.
Listings are free. However, submissions must:
Concern activities in Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey, Santa Monica, Venice, Westchester, Mar Vista, Del Rey and Playa Vista
Contain the time, day of the month and exact location of the event
Contain the admission charge to the public for entrance or participation
Include a phone number the public can call for the additional information. We regret that we don't have the staff available to call for required information missing from calendar submissions. All incomplete calendar submission will be discarded without notice.
