Del Rey Yacht Club hosts ASMBYC awards dinner

The Association of Santa Monica Bay Yacht Clubs held their annual awards dinner at the Del Rey Yacht Club Friday, January 5th.

Local yacht club members were given awards in recognition of exemplary service or accomplishment within the yachting community.

The association recognized:

n Will Petersen of the California Yacht Club as the ASMBYC Junior Yachtsman of the year;

n Mike Leneman from Fairwind Yacht Club as Sportsman of the Year;

n Anne Sacks of the California Yacht Club was awarded the David Poe Memorial Service Award; and

n Jerry Martin from King Harbor Yacht Club was awarded Yachtsman of the Year.
